Preparing for 2020 HSCC
We encourage students to prepare for the HSCC by working through the YACI Syllabus with their teachers, which can be accessed for free here.
The YACI Syllabus is the first of its kind and endorsed by our partner organisations. It is designed to extend students’ knowledge of general biology and cancer beyond the scope of the year 10 science/ VCE Unit 1 & 2 curriculum (or equivalent).
The Syllabus contains four major areas of study, each exploring a different aspect of cancer;
- Cancer Cell Biology
- Causes of Cancer
- Types of Cancer
- Cancer Treatment and Prevention
